The licence your door team needs

In the UK, anyone working as a door supervisor at licensed premises while they are open to the public must hold an SIA Door Supervisor licence, under the Private Security Industry Act 2001. Working without one is a criminal offence, and so is supplying unlicensed staff, which can also put your premises licence at risk.

Every Securial door supervisor holds a valid Door Supervisor licence, and we check it on the SIA public register before each booking, so you always know who is on your door.

Planning the right cover

The right number of door supervisors depends on your capacity, layout, entrances, trading hours and the conditions on your premises licence. Many licences set a minimum number of door staff for busy nights or late hours.

Tell us your capacity, your licence conditions and the nights you trade, and we will recommend a team that meets them without overstaffing your door.

Working with your venue

Our door supervisors work alongside your bar and floor staff, follow your admission and dress policies, and keep incident and refusal logs you can show the licensing authority or the police. If your venue runs a welfare scheme such as Ask for Angela, or shares a radio link with neighbouring venues, we brief our officers on it before their first shift.

Questions clients ask

Are your door supervisors SIA licensed?

Yes. Every door supervisor we deploy holds a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence, and we check it on the SIA public register before they work for you.

How many door supervisors do I need?

It depends on your capacity, layout, licence conditions and the type of night. Tell us about your venue and we will recommend the right number, in line with any conditions on your premises licence.

Can you cover regular weekly shifts?

Yes. We cover one-off nights and regular weekly rotas, and we aim to send the same faces each week so your team and customers get to know them.

Do you cover my area?

We are UK-based and fully mobile, so we can cover venues anywhere in the UK. Call or send an enquiry with your location and dates.

How much does a door supervisor cost?

Rates depend on the location, the hours, how much notice you give and how many officers you need. We quote per officer per hour, with nothing hidden, so you know the full cost before you book.

Can you supply a mixed team of male and female door supervisors?

Tell us when you book. Many venues want a mixed team so that searches can be carried out by an officer of the same sex, and we plan your team around that wherever possible.
