K-9 security dog handlers

A trained security dog and handler is one of the strongest deterrents there is. Securial Group provides SIA-licensed dog handlers with dogs trained for security work, for sites, events and venues across the UK.

Dog teams cover large areas quickly, detect intruders that people miss and make a clear statement that your site is protected.

Why use a dog team

A trained security dog can detect movement and scent far beyond what a person can. On large or open sites, a handler and dog can often cover an area that would otherwise need more officers, and the visible presence of a dog team is a strong deterrent to intruders.

Handled responsibly

Under the Guard Dogs Act 1975, a guard dog must be under the control of its handler while it is working, and a warning notice must be displayed at each entrance to the premises. Our handlers stay with their dogs throughout every deployment, and we can advise on the signage your site needs.

Our handlers hold an SIA licence and work with dogs trained for security work.

Where dog teams work best

Dog teams are most effective on construction sites, vacant and commercial property, depots, car parks and the perimeters of outdoor events, especially at night. We can combine dog patrols with static officers for layered protection.
